Could a dealership not hire you to insulate install the cover kit and put in the rear AC/Heating unit and then ship the
Promaster to Ontario ? Just curious.
Also do you have any photos of the rear AC unit installed…
I'm considering a purchase of the high roof window unit but want it more finished looking
and with ceiling LED lights off center if possible

Resurrecting an old thread. I called Van Extras in Winnipeg to find out pricing and availability, and to see if they had any installers or distributors anywhere, and was told they use the product in house for their own conversions only. I can place an order if I want to get 40 complete kits, yes 40, but they aren't interested in selling the pieces or doing a conversion for an individual. They also only have kits for window vans.

Edit add: I forgot to mention that I also specifically asked which conversion companies they sell their wall panels to in the US and was told that they don't sell to any US companies. I thought it was strange since I was just looking at a used Promaster in Wisconsin that looks like it has these liners installed. It was difficult to communicate with them as the phone line kept cutting out and he's not exactly what I would call a people person.

I did some more research and it appears that Van Extras actually buys their panels from a US manufacturer. I've spoken with them and they are sending me more details. I'll update this thread when I have more info to share.

Update to wall liners

I contacted Medallion Plastics from post #22 above and spoke with Dustin who is a Sales Engineer with the company. The full liner kit for a 2500 window van was about $1200 FOB Indiana. That's significantly better than the Van Extras price. Shipping would still be high given that it is a large pallet and the left side panel is one long piece. These are usually sold in minimum quantities of 5 sets, but if you are willing to wait until a company places an order then they would manufacture an extra set as part of that run. Shipping would still be rather expensive, and if you and a few friends in your area could get together for a few sets it would be a great way to split the shipping costs.

When speaking with Dustin, who was incredibly knowledgable about the product and very helpful, I discovered that the panels are formed as a solid panel, then the window areas are cut out as part of production. So if you have a cargo van you can just ask them to NOT cut out the window openings. I imagine this would work well for people installing non OEM size windows. Also, the CRL windows are slightly different than OEM and he can cut them out accordingly. Like most companies making liners, they don't have a kit for dual sliding door models. Bodyguard says they have a dual sliding door kit, but all they do is remove the left front panel and ceiling panel from the regular kit.

I am very impressed with the look of the panels, especially compared to Bodyguard, Penda, Legend, etc. And now that I know I can get them solid, without the window cutouts, it opens up possibilities. I've been dreaming of a crew van configuration with a sliding door window and a window opposite, with no other windows in the sides or rear.

I've attached a few pictures showing the left side, right side, sliding door trim and the bulkhead cover over the cab. In that picture an aftermarket a/c and heat has been installed so there are vents.

If anyone has any questions and has interest in these liners, I'd suggest calling Dustin at Medallion Plastics. He knows his product well and is able to help.
