I just came across this pic of a Promaster with a prototype suspension kit. I messaged them and they said that they're testing it now and hope to have something available around March or April. The van shown has 4" of lift in the front and 2.5" in the rear. The tires are 245-75-16. I'm not sure yet how they achieved the lift or if it does anything to fix the horrible ride off pavement.

Interested in this also. The rear should be cheap to raise, but whatever they did in the front will dictate the price use guess. Hopefully they will bring this to market and it still handles as well or better than oem.

I already have that size tire so I'm half way there.

I wonder if they are using portal axles. That would give the 4" of height and not have to put spacers under the spring in the strut.

...and add 5 digits to the price. The Mopar Portal axles for the Jeep are about $11,000 for the rear and $12,500 for the front. I would think that a FWD portal axle setup would be even more expensive.

That’s all you decided to share? No mention of the person or company?

Yep, OHV in SLC. I think the owner is a mechanical engineer that used to design race car suspensions (I'm pretty sure, could be someone else). I'm anxious to find out how the lift was achieved, how it rides on the rough, and what it costs.

That makes sense for a 1.5" spacer. $300 is same price as the Spaccer option. 1.5 inches vs 1.88 inches. So you have choice in the lift. Great to have choices. Been driving mine for some time with two Spaccers...still loving the ride. Perfect at 1.88". I go over big speed bumps all the time and travel is not an issue.

I can't wait to see the specifics of the kit they are about to release, I would be stoked with another 1.5 inches. In many ways lol but two inches would be better. The van compass guys sell some cool stuff for the other vans. And I love that hitch mounted hammock holder thingy they sell.

What is this 1.88 inch spacers you speak of? This is the first I've heard of it.

1.88 inches are the "Spaccer" brand ones. Two of these are 1.88 inches or they are .94 inch high each. Or with rubber damper gaskets from Spaccers they are about one inch each. So I have a total of 2.12 inches of lift to be specific.

1.5 nches for Van Compass
1.88 or 2.12 inches for Spaccer Brand Option

Spaccer brand you can "stack" so you can dial in the lift you want.

Since I wanted a 1" lift only I opted for a 1" steel spacer for the rear leaf spring along with a quick rubber spring lift for the front strut: [ame]https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000932O6G[/ame]

That, along with 245/75 tires gives me a better departure angle and raises that rear axle a touch because of the tires. I feel even at my current height the BIG limitation is the rear axle vs anything else on the van.

My current plan is to get that axle raised about 2" (there's another thread on here somewhere detailing this idea) by a 4x4 welding shop rather than raising the rest of the van any.

Can you share your front 1" quick lift with us?
