Yeah, I'm not sure either. I'm still trying to figure that out, but I'm hoping to at least get the small manual folding.
If i had know that was an option I would have definitely switched. This thread came a few days after I ordered my replacement. Next time! 🤪

If your Promaster is currently wired for folding mirrors, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use the small folding mirrors. I would have liked to install folding mirrors, but my Promaster was not wired for them, so I didn't want any extra complications. As you shop for mirrors, just be sure to look at pictures to be sure that the new mirror has the same type of connectors and the same arrangement of wire colors (probably the safest bet) to your current mirror.

My mirrors are not power folding. Just power adjusting & heated. I would settle for not power folding.

I switched out from the large power mirrors with heat to the smaller ones without heat or power. Now the alarm light (triangle with lightning bolt) is on and saying signal light is not working and signal are fast. Maybe the bulb is bad. Any suggestions?

Are the repeater lights on the mirrors blinking? If not I would start there...
If they are blinking are they oem mirrors or jobber parts? If not oem maybe they are LEDs and not drawing enough current...

Repeaters blink. Jobber parts. Not enough current to recognize makes perfect sense. Would I be able to swap them out for regular lights?

For some reason the original bulb is a 15w wedge type. Ram Promaster 2500 with towing mirrors were the originals. The new bulb is a 5 w miniature wedge. The old bulbs work but won't fit in new housing. What size resistor do you think might work here?

So you have 10w to dissipate? R=V2/P, so a 15 ohm, 10 watt resistor would work.
