RAM Promaster 2022 Warning Lights - LOTS of them!

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me!
I have a 2022 Dodge Ram Promaster Van (Roadtrek). I have a little over 8,000 trouble free miles. Unit sat for 2 weeks while I was out of town. I went out to start it yesterday, it started right up and all HVAC was working properly. However, all the idiot lights came on from no power steering, to all the safety features, to "service engine soon". I've seen others ask about this so I don't think it's an isolated issue, but there weren't any answers out there I could find. It's essentially undrivable sine I have no power steering. The only Dodge dealer is 45 minutes from me and their only advice was to have it towed.

Causes?

Fixes?

Help!

UPDATE: Thank you one and all for your suggestions! I tried everything and finally had to throw in the towel. My vehicle will be flat-bed towed to the closest RAM dealer under warranty. I can tell this has happened to multiple other people, so I hope this doesn't become a chronic issue. Appreciate all your help!

You have a more modern PM than most. For the older ones and my old Dodge Caravan (similar power train and electronics), a low battery is a cause of a lot of mysterious lights coming on. Modern vehicles can deplete a battery in 2 weeks without charging while driving (we don't dare leave our Fiat not charged either by driving or external smart charger for that long).

You said it started right up which wouldn't be the case if the battery was low.

Did you use a booster? If not, then the battery should be in decent shape.

Another cause of warning lights coming (at least for me) has been wires chewed up by rodents. That can be harder to track down.

I'm not sure why your power steering is not working. On my PM it has the good old-fashioned hydraulic power steering that would not be affected by chewed up wiring. Does the 2022 have electric power steering?

Did you try driving it? A vehicle is not totally undriveable without power steering. It gets easier when the vehicle is rolling but you need to "strong arm" the steering wheel. So if you want to drive it to the dealer, you may be able to. Don't do anything unsafe though; some credit cards offer free towing within reasonable distances.

Same thing happened to us in NC on a trip a month ago. It is still under warranty so we had it towed to the nearest Chrysler/Ram garage over the weekend and when they looked at it on Monday the problem had disappeared.

I believe it was a electronics/PCM hiccup that just reset after standing for three days. If it happened to me again, before I ordered a tow, I would first disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes and then reconnect.

YMMV of course.

I’ve had the exact same issues, what I learned through testing and experimenting is that the software is like Microsoft. It has to be shut down and restarted on regular intervals. But for the Promaster the way I’ve found to do it is to open the drivers door. Whenever the idiot lights all come on I just turn it off, open the door and close it and starts again and all is well. CRAZY

Our 2021 was parked for a few days & when started 3 or 4 warning lights came on and we got multiple codes from the OBD. The culprit: rodents chewing on wiring!

It's been documented that rodents like the wiring to keep their teeth sharp and they like the soybean based insulation: Rodents eat car wiring

We have a good relationship with the dealer and they covered it under the warranty (the 36 mo bumper to bumper, not the drivetrain). It would have been about $500 labor & materials if they had charged us for the repair.

BrianB- Where exactly did they chew? I tend to park off grid all the time and do a couple of things that may or may not help. I place dyers sheets with peppermint oil at all four tires held down with small rocks, place Irish spring soap chunks throughout the engine compartment/frame, and even some peppermint oil on harnesses. So far so good but I'm sure nothing will stop the ones that wanna chew
