During a shutdown there are some essential services that do not shut down. I would think border crossings would be one of those. So unless anyone has actually first hand experienced a closed border, i wouldn't believe it.

 

Yes, usually non-essential personnel don't work, which makes one wonder why they have a job to begin with😁

Never seen the border crossings shut down due to us government shutdowns. Sometimes hours vary for no real comprehensible reason. Night shifts don't get staffed & border shuts at night.
But not slam shut completely no.
That's my two centavos.
