Can someone point me in the direction of a thread that explains how to enable the factory alarm on a 2019 2500?
Can it be done with alpha OBD? Have the demo version ,yellow adapter cable and obd MX, do I need the full version? Is there any additional parts that may be needed.. I think I read a thread on this but cant find it again.
Any help is appreciated

AlfaOBD, MX and yellow adapter is exactly what you need. If I remember correctly, the option is in body computer unit -> Car configuration change -> Alarm system.

BTW, horn chirp while locking the van is optional and can be controlled in radio unit (2019+ models) and via AlfaOBD.

Yes, its simple as enabling it from the dealer or alfaOBD. Its not a fancy alarm system, it relies on the door sensor to trigger the alarm so ram didn't have to add anything to make it work beside simple software code. There is no vibration or window sensor with the factory alarm.

The only feature that is different from aftermarket alarm systems is motion and shock sensors (glass break, brute force etc).

I never encountered ProMaster factory alarm in person but I guess it lacks all additional sensors.
