Hello. 2014 RAM PROMASTER 2500 150k miles. Most of the time I find my answers by just searching here. This time I'm not totally clear. I checked the level of transmission fluid with the zip tie that was mentioned in another post on here. It worked good. I feel like it's higher than some others mentioned. I can't really find the actual specs on how many millimeters it should be. I have at least 70-80mm at around 70 degrees. Does anyone know what it should be? My plan is to drain and replace the filter this week. I have a P0869 (trans pressure low) and P0740 (torque converter circuit/clutch open) . I figured it's worth a try to do the drain/fill and filter since it's never been done. Not sure that will fix it but it's worth a try maybe. Van runs fine, just feel a couple odd shifts occasionally. Thanks

So it looks like the filter and new fluid took care of the codes...at least so far. Below is my old filter cut open if anyone cares. I think it was pretty clogged. No big metal chunks, which is good. It was an easy job but I made a mess.

Michael Schultz, you messy kid! Seriously though, I can't see how dropping that pan could ever not be a messy job. I am curious if you put the pan back on with RTV or used the Fel Pro gasket option.
I used the gasket that came with the filter (autozone). It seemed fine to me. Just took my time torqueing the bolts down little at a time, crossing back and forth many times. so far, all good
