parking heater thru-floor installation

Maybe this is already obvious, but the ammo can idea works much better with the lid sideways.. you can access without removing anything..
I did it through floor (1/2" plywood) and 1" polyiso and I'm not sure I would do it again, but I think it is fine. Drilling all those holes and routing and aligning was a lot of work and prob easier to just cut back the floor and mount to sheet metal. I also used some nuts to keep the ammo can not touching any of the flooring. I had some heatshielding that I cut up and used high temp RTV to seal against plywood and polyiso (and also around the fuel line just in case). Be aware, the first time I used black RTV and that isn't good enough - it started smoking even though it is supposed to be good to 500 F.. in the end I use the red 2000 F muffler seal which also wasn't great because it cracked a little. Not really sure any seal is necessary if all hose clamps and routing is tight anyways..
