I picked up a SG3 yesterday from Advanced auto parts for $160. I found the deal via Google shopping and had to buy online and pick up at the store. Apparently Advanced is closing low performing stores or areas with high theft.

My van is an '18 gas and the gauge works well, BUT, I am unable to see oil pressure. Any advice or more content that you guys know of?

Note- I did call SG customer service. The auto scan didn't pick up oil pressure and the tech said PM is tricky even in the same model year. He indicated you get what you get.

I have 2014 Promaster gas and use a ScanGauge 3. Using the auto scan feature it found coolant temperature, oil pressure, oil temperature, transmission temperature, fuel level and torque convertor slip.

Wow! Great deal. All I see now from Advance Auto is $239.

ScanGauge X-gauge RAM Promaster Transmission Fluid Temperature
ScanGauge X-gauge RAM Promaster Engine Oil Temperature

I used @mloganusda's codes:

Transmission Fluid Temp (°F)
TXD: 10F122B010
RXF: 046205B00610
RXD: 3010
MTH: 000100400000
NAME: TFT
Engine Oil Temperature (°F)
TXD: 10F1212D
RXF: 032100000000
RXD: 3008
MTH: 00090005FFAD
NAM: OIL

I can confirm that these codes worked on my 2019.

I'd really like to get the current gear that the transmission has automatically selected (not the handle position), but I haven't been able to find that code.

I agree an indicator like that would be nice, but I can usually tell just from the rpm’s. If I’m ever really curious, I just move the shifter to the left for a second or two to see.

@08k8
does the gear indicator actually tell you what gear your in or just drive?

Thanks for posting the information about these being on sale at Advance Auto Parts - I was able to snag one from a store that is apparently closing in downtown Sacramento for $189 - not quite as low as your price but still a good $80 off.

U bet! Glad that you were able to snag the deal.

I am working on mounting mine just to the right of the gauge cluster. Will share photos.. I bought an alternate phone type mag mount for the dash and an Ethernet 90 degree cable.

Yes, definitely post pics of how you end up installing it - I am trying to decide if I want it to the left or the right of the instrument cluster.

Norcalscott- I think we are aligned- preference to mount adjacent to dash instrument cluster. I have also considered low on the left side in the small change area; however, the fit isn't great.
I bought a cell phone magnetic dash mount and a 90 degree ethernet adapter cable. I just played around this evening and dislike how far the dash mount spaces the SG3 from the actual dash. I really want a low profile solution- aka less noticeable to thieves.
Here is what I bought from Amazon: https://a.co/d/btUiRIK

That looks like a good solution. I currently have an 8 inch Android Auto screen mounted with an iBolt screw-on mounted to the clipboard. I may just use a mount like you linked to for placing the ScanGuage beside of that, but a bit lower as I am also concerned with it being too visible to thieves.

Yes, when in motion. Park / reverse shows Neutral though. Initially I thought it didn't work, but I assume this is how the computer "thinks" within its program.
I just got a SG3 after using the SG2 for years. Nice to have more information. For 6th gear, mine shows N/A so far - is that true for everyone else?

I’ve also noticed there’s a lot of lag in the transmission data for some reason and also that the monitor won’t reset after a restart all the time - I have to unplug it and plug it back in again. I have a lot connected to my OBD2 port, so it could be an issue there. Or the fact that the Oil Pressure monitor I’ve set goes off between when I stop the engine and when the gauge finally loses power - that might be putting it in a weird hung state.
