Reduce the speed to 40 mph carry and carry no payload, he posted a graph somewhere.

The e-Transit gets good range when driven at low speed.

But not very practical :)

The ZEV program only applies to new vehicles.

it has an onboard gasoline generator to charge battery pack for additional range. its designed to help the segment of vehicle owners where EV only won't work.
squarely pointed at disappointed F150 Lightning owners or those sitting on the fence, I think

this is how Stellantis thanks Ford for the free market research :)

didn't know this warranty part

Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Warranty Information
The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is backed by a 5-year/60,000-mile Basic Limited Warranty. Beyond that, the

High Voltage Battery Limited Warranty is good for 10-year/150,000 miles in zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) states and 10-year/100,000 miles in non-ZEV states.

Currently, the 14 ZEV states include California, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington.

I think the weight is still the biggest issue. Unsprung weight is the bane of chassis engineers. Maybe it's only practical for lightweight vehicles?
If I read the article right the Chinese car Dongfeng Motor E70 is in production with Protean wheels, this company has ties to Stellantis.

They have a Mercedes test vehicle with Protean wheels,
Mercedes test vehicle

Now that I think about it, it's about the money. They've sunk a lot of money into their ev infrastructure, it's not worth pay licensing fees.

I'm curious how this will play out in ZEV states.
The wording, 35% of new cars sold in the state. The market adjustment price for the ICE will rise? there will be a run on ICE vehicles?
Using Connecticut, '22 new car sales 135K is there a demand for 47k bev/phev? What happens to car companies who can't sell enough EVs? put not for sale on the ICE? transfer inventories between none ZEV and ZEV states?
One model might be have a car lot mostly of EVs for sale and floor models of ICE demos for order. Complete the sale out of state and transfer the vehicle for pickup at the dealer.

This is going to be fun to watch :)
apparently the ball is already rolling, Stellantis Stops Sending Gas-Only Cars To 14 States Including California | Carscoops

It appears Connecticut is putting a hold on ZEV :(

the power companies see this coming and they will adjust, I wouldn't worry about the grid, nothing you or I can do about it

cost to operate my vehicle is my concern and my Versa is cheap to operate so an EV doesn't make sense for me

My provider has teamed up with Homepage – Motor

I believe this is for a Nissan Leaf or Bolt, in my area it's $750 at month, you provide the electricity.

Was talking home not pmc, sorry
Idle car -> SOK battery-> inverter ->extension cord -> home gas furnace -> to power the furnace blower. But the furnace has to be able to plug in the extension cord.

I used the van before, now I have a generator in case the electricity goes down in winter.

It would also make sense for public charging stations to only charge to 80%.
