You're lucky, we did not have a tracking system, at least for Canada in 2022.
What does your dealer tell you? What status code does the order show?

 

My 2024 order got scheduled for production on October 4 but no movement since then. Status still shows scheduled and never moves over to 'In Production' on the tracking website.

If I call their contact number, they tell me my VIN is invalid and transfer me. The next person transfers me. Then the next. And after 6 transfers, I just give up.
I contacted @RamCares but no response yet.

My dealer just tells me they'll call me when they have the van. Real helpful!

scheduled just means that, scheduled. it could be a month, could be 3, before it actually enters production. the online tracker can be pretty delayed in updating too. if i recall ours was scheduled october but we didnt recieve it until february

 

This, in FCA-speak "scheduled" means 'allocated for production" (status "D"), meaning it has a VIN but not a production date. It can take months to get to "firm schedule" (D1) and have an actual production date.
At least at D you are quite certain you willl get your van; you likely still have months to wait though. Ours took over 4 months just to get delivered - hopefully they improved this.

 

The features you get, paint, windows, etc can all factor into how long it takes for your van to be built too. If you got something with all the bells and whistles and OEM windows, it’s likely going to take longer than someone with a fairly stock van. When we spec’d ours we kept this in mind and I think it did help us, though I do wish I sprung for HID headlights

 

So if the vehicle has an ( I ) status where is it in the process?

 

I just checked mine today. It was updated went into production Dec 5, est delivery of Feb 7. I'm just happy it finally made it into production.

My van actually exists now. Build date: December 10.

 

Cool - congratulations. Now you need to wait for delivery but at least there's certainty that you're getting it.

 

Anyone else experiencing a 2024 order stuck in production limbo? Mine got scheduled on October 4, but it's been radio silence since then. Tried calling, got caught in a transfer loop—super frustrating. Reached out to @RamCares, but no luck there either.

 

I had the same experience. Mine showed scheduled October 4 until it finally changed to Built. I've called their number many times and always got into a transfer loop until I usually just hung up (what they are hoping for I'm sure. Sometimes I'm on hold so long that it automatically takes me to the survey. On a scale of 1 to 10, I answered 1 to all the survey questions.

Hello everyone. I ordered a ram 2500 on February 1, 2022. I received a letter from FCA Canada telling me that my order will not be produced because there was too much disparity between the model ordered and the new ram 2024 I returned to square one in September 2023. My dealer placed the order again and I have no news yet. My order was changed to a 3500 in October 2023. On February 2, 2024 I will celebrate my 2 year wait. Well, it made me happy and good to talk about it.

 

Was the change to a 3500 at your request? Did you ever get a VON - vehicle order number? You are the 3rd poster from Canada who said their original order never got confirmed or built. One of them decided to give up. The other ordered a 2024.

 

Just FYI. RAM Promaster had its best sales ever in 2023. Sales up 34% for the year. Demand is high.
