I recently changed my HVAC blower motor and resistor.

It's working great, but noticed the ceramic green part of the resistor get very hot to the touch on lower speeds? Is this normal?

So update on this. Brand new blower motor and resistor. Resistors last 15 minutes working great, get really hot and then stop working. What could this be? All fuses look fine. Any way to bypass the resistor to cool on high fan speed only?
