Coolant leak after radiator change

I have a 2014 ProMaster with 10K miles and have been experiencing the coolant smell for about a year now. The original dealer I took it to last year replaced the radiator but that never resolved the issue. In the last 6 months my van has burned through a whole gallon of coolant but I have never been able to pinpoint a leak. It is in at a new dealer now and they have looked at it several times and they are telling me that there is not a problem. It is still in for service and my service writer is going to have them check it again. I informed him of the TSB and hopefully we can put this issue to rest for once and for all. It is pretty frustrating that my 2014 ProMaster has been out of service for 80+ days in the last year:(

Dealer was not able to find my leak either after 3 trips there. I call Chrysler and complained and the next day the dealer called and found it with Chryslers tech support. It was put on the rack and raised the RPM to 2000 and the water pump and thermostat housing begain to leak. Both were replaced.

anyone have a 2015 with coolant leaks, I hit 11k miles and now smell coolant when exiting the drivers side at times, the dealer says they couldn't find ANY TSB but then says it all depends on the vin if the TSB even applies

Now they tell me the TSB is only for gas engines, I guess diesels don't have leaky radiators....sheesh

My early model 14 had the leak on the passenger side of the radiator. Lost maybe an inch of coolant from the tank in a month. No puddles. I found the coolant residue under that side when I did the first oil change. Dealer had a new radiator in within a few days and then 1/2 day for the repair. Been completely tight since then.

2014 radiator replaced at 97,000

I lost about 1 gallon over a 3 year period and 90,000 miles . In the last couple months the leak worsened so I took it in and ram replaced it . The dealership was no help at all but ram agreed to pay for the radiator and I was left to pay labor of $430. I didn't push all that hard on full cover of cost because I was a hesitant that they may pull the free radiator off the table . Otherwise I am happy with the van .

I had mine replaced with the TSB last year and theres no change. When I exit the van and walk around the front, the smell of coolant is profound. AND I've added a few cups of coolant in the past 5k miles.
Not a bad seepage rate, but now, after reading the previous post,
Should I go back to the dealer and bitch about it? I never bought an extended warranty. How long is the standard warranty? My purchase was November 14.

It's odd, but both my PMs seem to "drink" a small amount of coolant over time. I had both rads replaced (I'm the original poster of this thread) and though neither has any coolant smell they both use perhaps 1 cup of coolant per year...maybe. Maybe the systems weep. Maybe there's a pressure release somewhere that we don't know about. Maybe the hoses absorb it. Dunno, but it's not leaking and I doubt it's the head gaskets. Maybe a little loss is normal. Dunno.

I have a 2016 with 32000 I got it used with 20,000, never paid attention till the last oil change and I see the coolant level is just below the low mark. after a long drive if I pop the hood and stick my head in I can slightly smell coolant but cant notice it just walking around outside the van after a drive. I spent about 2 hrs popping plastic covers off and searching for signs of a leak and I cant find any. I'm going to take it to the dealer in the next week or 2 just to get it on record in case something comes up in the future. I also plan to send some oil from the next oil change out for test just to make sure I'm not getting any coolant in the engine. other than that I have just had a few other issues I want them to look at, the tranny pan leaks and lil bit, and my TPMS light stays on since I got tires last. And I haven't got the recall for the trailer lights done yet.( anyone know where its located?)

Time will tell how this thing holds up.

I just stopped to make an app. for the trailer brake recall ,small tranny leak, TPMS light and the coolant issue and as soon as I said I seem to have a coolant leak and I can smell it when I pop the hood he immediately said that its normal but he will check and top off the fluid and let me know. My appt. is Monday morning so we will see.

They just topped off my fuild and said its normal to lose some over time. I don't think they even looked for a leak. They fixed the tranny leak at the pan. wouldn't give me any kind of info on the TPMS, I ask at what pressure is the light supposed to come on and they said they don't know than I asked if it could be lowered to 50 psi and I just got a stupid look and a no. They also never called when it was done even after taking down my cell number when I dropped it off, I had to call 30 mins before they closed and asked if it was done. customer service just blows in everything anymore oh well.

TPMS light if one or more tires at different pressures, if all tires same pressure no light regardless 45psi or 60psi or whatever psi you are happy with.
could be wrong? if so please advise.
