Need help (re)designing area between front seats

If you have a lagun table mounted between the seats, can you use that table while driving? A place to put maps, cup holders, etc? Or is the table not secure enough for that?

We've been using a storage bin between the front seats. Modified it so that it has a flat surface (cutting board attached to bin lid) and doesn't move around (secured at floor). It's been very functional and we like the extra storage. But it's a little cumbersome to move in and out when we want to walk between the seats.

Would love to see your solutions.

Thanks!

We are using the Macally tray table that Corndog recommended.

It is great for light duty - phone, snacks, credit card etc. It fastens in the center cup holder so you lose that but you have three anyways. I initially thought to fasten the top securely using a bracket or zip ties but it is actually better being loose since it can readily move aside if/when you want to walk through to the rear.

If you mount it properly the Lagun will be solid. One of the best purchases I made.
