sorry if this has already been asked/answered.
We ordered our PM 4/2/2021. The dealer said 6-8 weeks. After 8 weeks I called them and they said they do not know when it will be in. Has anyone ordered AND received their PM in the last few weeks and when did you order it?

Thanks.

Thanks. I found somewhere online about a month ago that the lead time was then 16-18 weeks. The dealer claims this is the first year for the Saltillo, Mexico plant to build them. Last update was "in transit delayed" on June 28th, whatever that means...

That’s an interesting point and I suspected that was the case. Curiously, we ordered a blue 118 with all the safety features (our youngest is the primary driver) and a few other options so I feared that our vehicle would take forever.

I am sure the dealers know very well about the progress of ordered vehicles. They just don't feel like looking things up and sending updates. We have been kept up to date every week with order status, including build scheduled, VIN assigned, build in progress, build completed, rail transit, arrival in Mexican port, ship assignment, expected arrival in port, etc. I agree with others that the more generic the order, the faster Saltillo will schedule the build.

As mentioned, your van is not too unique. All the options are bolt-on and aren't likely to affect manufacturing and delivery--and it shows as you got it in 4 months. Mine took 7+. But (and I'm guessing), it was my driver's side slider that made the difference.

Looking forward to seeing what you will do with it.

Just received news our PM ordered in late April is finally ready for pickup. In case it's of any interest, here was the timeline:
Week 0 Order placed
Week 1 Factory build scheduled
Week 2 VIN assigned and factory build started
Week 3 Final stage of factory build
Week 4 On rail transport to shipping port
Week 5 Arrived at shipping port
Week 6 Waiting at shipping port
Week 7 Waiting at shipping port
Week 8 Waiting at shipping port
Week 9 Waiting at shipping port
Week 10 Waiting at shipping port
Week 11 Departed shipping port
Week 12 Arrival at destination port
Week 13 Arrival at dealer
Week 13 1/2 Prepped and ready
It was interesting how much time was spent waiting for a ship.

Apparently, there's just one ship (as I was told by my sales guy). So you may have just missed it, which added some weeks to the timeline... :-/

A nice thing is that your actual build time was short. You likely chose a common configuration. (y)
