The blind spot mirror is not adjustable. They do not show you anything above the bumper of a vehicle. I have found that they work very well even though they are different than most other vehicles.

While in a parking lot try backing toward other vehicles and learn how they work.

If there is nothing showing in the blind spot mirror it is safe to change lanes in my experience. The biggest drawback to them is that they don't "see" anything more than one lane over.

One benefit of the somewhat down facing blind spot mirrors is that you can see parking space lines in them. I use them when parking all the time.

The above is just my experience and yours may be different, you can always add small stick on mirrors to supplement them.

 

Yes, I just got 2019 PMC less that 1 week ago..... and am disappointed by the lower 'blind spot' mirror. I have raised the seat up on my SLT which I prefer.... and it has made the blind spot mirror worse. As a consolation, I'll try to see if it helps me see lines when parking.
