Having a weird problem this afternoon with my promaster. When it’s in park and I want to turn out of my spot. The steering wheel shakes and doesn’t want to budge except by force and there is a lot of squealing coming out of the front suspension. Power steering fluid is ok and no leaks. Anywhere I should start ?

When was the last time you added fluid & was it the correct type of fluid? If vehicle has the correct type and amount of fluid, then it might be a bad power steering pump or broken steering rack. Raise the front on jack stands, inspect the tie rods, steering rack, ps pump, steering column joints, move tire side to side to see if tie rods are worn. Also, while on jack stands, put vehicle key in on position without turning engine and turn steering wheel from lock to lock, it should be smooth. You have big problem if steering wheel is hard to turn while on jack stands
