Has anyone had success with LocTite PL300 to adhere XPS to van floor? Also planning on using it from XPS to plywood(separate glue job after XPS is secure to floor). I've decided to install my floor as follows: 1" XPS> 1/2" plywood>Vinyl. I'm all prepped with the foam and plywood cut out(maintained access to all the tie off points(M8) and have (4) 2x4's ready to lay across to the tie off points to clamp the foam/plywood as adhesive dries(planning on 24hours for each layer). I left about a 1/2" gap around edges that I plan to fill with gap and crack foam(cut flush and install vinyl on top). All the tie off points will get bolts through floor when complete and in many cases will incorporate securing the cabinets as well.I am not planning on filing the gaps in van floor other than a few XPS shims where there is not a nearby floor rib. I know everyone swears there is no squeaking with the XPS of Polyiso but it is hard to believe when it is squeaking like crazy at this point(before adhesive).
Notice that the front pillar covers(where seat belts are) have a screw attachment that will be below the level of the new floor. Should I be removing that screw so I can take the pillar cover off in the future?
Any glaring red flags in this plan?
New to the forum and love all the detailed discusion.
Thanks, Dylan
