Need to buy a draw bar for a new trailer and would like it to work with my upcoming Promaster 1500. Could any current owner tell me what the factory towing hitch receiver height is? Please include where measured to, thanks much.

I have a hitch installed on both of my Promasters. unfortunately they are both on the road at the moment, so I can't give you a measurement. They won't be back till next week sometime, but here is a picture. It might give you an idea.

I have a 2500 with the factory installed receiver. The center of the receiver is around 17-1/2" from the ground (van unloaded). Hope this helps.

Yes, this very much helps and what I was looking for.

On a side note, I measured all the vehicles that I am going to be towing a new dump trailer with. The F-150, which can tow double the Promaster (as well as double the other vehicles), has the lowest hitch height, 2.5" lower than the Promaster.

That also depends on the hitch adapter you use. there are all kinds of different offsets.
