When you do it, some pictures would be greatly appreciated! I felt around on the passenger seat and noted that there did not seem to be a mounting plate. Your info confirms this. Wonder if the parts dept has a plate, or if the metal seat frame is different if you order lumbar.

proeddie,
Will do.
You won't find a plate listed, as the the plate is welded to the frame when they make the seat. You would think it would better inventory management for them to have the plate on all seats regardless of armrest or not.
Its super easy to open the seat and look just undo the zipper and have a look.
One thing regarding installing armrest on drivers side door/left side is that if you have an aftermarket seat swivel it may not clear the steering wheel. I have the Sportscraft swivel and when I checked it looks like it will not clear the steering wheel with the door side armrest installed. This is because the the Sportscraft swivel has no aft offset. Some other brands do have a rear offset.
If you look at pictures of the Euro conversions you will see the majority have armrest both side of the seats. In Europe it would seam that all but the drivers side airbags are optional so they can opt out of the seat airbag and install armrest both sides.
Cheers,
Dave
