I travel with my iPhone on and often plugged in to power as I usually have Google maps running. I want to create and share a log of my travels so our family and friends can share where we are and what we see. There are lots of apps for doing this but most have too many low responses to really know which is good. I don't do much social media stuff but have a Facebook account. Ideally someone could go to a Google site, see where we are, and have been, and look at pictures and comments we have posted. A good road by road trail is important to us too.
What will do this and what is your experience?

That looks promising and in Google Maps there is an option to share location and you can list yourself. I’m not sure the results but I am stuck at home today with some wet stucco to mist so another day to test it.

I have seen this in the App store along with others. Is it good and have you found it useful?

I haven't personally used Trip Journal but it seems to have the basics like gps, photos, video, and text covered and they are well integrated. I'm seriously considering it.

I have used GPS Visualizer with GPS data from my Garmin, but it is more of a kit of tools than a nicely packaged app. http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/ Uber flexible and accepts gps data from a gazillion sources, but there is a bit of a learning curve if you want to attach images and blog type text.

When I was younger I loved esoteric stuff like Unix, SQL, and Data Modeling. Now I'm a retired, (or maybe just plain tired), end user and want something that works and is easy to use.
