We just purchased a 2017 Thor RV and I now have to decide which vehicle to set up to be towed behind it. The Promaster is ideal as it has the lift for my daughters wheelchair and my pickup will need a lot of adaptations to make is happen. Has anyone towed there Promaster behind a MotorHome? thanks for any info..

It's not possible to tow a Promaster gas with all 4 wheels on the pavement as they are all automatic and there is no way to disengage the transmission as far as I know. If it weren't FWD you could put a driveshaft disconnect in but as there is no driveshaft you are SOL. If you can find a diesel they have a manual transmission (actually semi-automatic, I believe) and you may be able to tow it in neutral but even that might be iffy.

Either way it's not going to be a good idea.

You can flat tow a diesel in “N” Actually the diesel transmission it technically an Automated Manual. It’s shifted by a robot!
