Sliding door inside door handle mod to make it easy to close sliding door.

///http://www.promasterforum.com/forum/garage.php?do=viewvehicle&vehicle_id=1513///
I10. Sliding door closer helper. Closing the sliding door from the inside is not easy. You have to use alot of muscle and may have to do it several times. Closing from the outside is easy if you use you forearm to push in with the same hand that is holding the handle.

To make it easier to close, I installed a metal handle (6 1/2"), from Ace Hardware with black sheet metal screws mounted horizontally in the middle of the sliding door. Now when you close the door, a gentle pull on the handle will be enough to close the door with normal force. Total cost $10. Time: 1 hour.

Great idea! I'm a new PM owner here and that was one thing I definitely found odd, I thought I was missing something as I usually use the rubber bumper to close it from the inside.

Works like a champ! since I put it in a month ago. Should have though of it earlier - I was battling with having to "throw" the door like Hercules every time and much harder on a slope.

Congrats on your new PM!!

I noticed you do the dirt bike - I found an awesome thread on a Mercedes forum. Guy did a great job with his build.

You might enjoy some of his mods. I loved using the T-slot aluminum for the cabinets and doing mine right now.
