I have changed oil recently. The other day this message came on when starting the van; "service expried". There is also a wrench symbol lit up on the dash at all times...

I read the manual and couldnt find anything about that in there.

Resetting oil change light
  • "Your vehicle is equipped with an engine oil change
indicator system. The “Change Engine Oil” message will
display in the EVIC display. The engine oil change
indicator system is duty cycle based, which means the
engine oil change interval may fluctuate, dependent
    upon your personal driving style.
Unless reset, this message will continue to display each
time you turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN
position. To turn off the message temporarily, press and
release the MODE button. To reset the oil change indicator
system (after performing the scheduled maintenance),
    refer to the following procedure.
    1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (do not
    start the engine).
    2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly, three times
    within 10 seconds.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF/LOCK position.
NOTE: If the indicator message illuminates when you
start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not
reset. If necessary, repeat this procedure."

It’s not the oil change light. It’s service expired and there is now a wrench on display! That is what the guy above me was trying to say as well ! That’s why I was wondering if he ever got the answer to his question! Thanks for trying!

No I did one better ! I replaced the whole thing when the motor fell out of the vehicle at 27000 miles and cracked the case took out the axels ruined the alternator and battery and more ! Dodge needed 2months to fix it and I don’t have 3 of them and needed it so I took it to an independent service garage and they got me back on the road in 4 days! 6500 dollars submitted it to dodge and they told me too bad! On defected bolts the they knew about and they still said too bad

Well possibly it could be might be something they left behind when they replaced the cams and rocker bearings twice within 300 miles of each other? Wonder what size wrench?

Nope, not HEV on Promaster. Got it figured out today. Dealership had to contact STAR. It an emissions related notification that is programmed in the software as my cats and oxygen sensors were replaced 4k ago. Just another way to get you into the dealer to take $135.00 for a diagnostic fee. Will post pics of the invoice and particulars when I get a chance.
