I'm looking at the seat bases to add a swivel and I'm not sure what the bolt head is. I thought it was a simple allen key cap, but then I noticed that the vertices are notched. Does that mean it is a torx bolt? I'm afraid I'll trip it if I use the wrong tool.

Does anyone know the actual seat base bolt type and size? (other than the head type)?
Thread type? Pitch? Overall Length?
I just got my passenger seat from the wrecker (shipped)
They unbolted the seat from its base for shipping and then DIDNT include the bolts :(

i would assume it’s just a regular metric bolt. Pick up a few different sizes and pitches that are close in size and try them till you find one that fits

It'll be the same as your driver's seat bolts. Go to the store, take one out in the lot, and take it inside to use their bolt identifier do-dads.

I've had success!
Stock bolts are
M8-1.25 x 20 Torx Low Head Socket Cap Screw with a Pilot Point

at Lowes I have found
Hillman Brand
M8-1.25 x 20 Hex Socket Head Cap Screw -- Class 12.9 (highest grade possible)
This is also the same thread type, size and pitch as the Cargo tie downs.

They aren't low head, but they still seem to work fine with the sliding rails on the seat
