Has anybody put it in reverse and had to quickly apply gas and have the front end sound like it is going to fall out. Amazing Usually I can slowly put in reverse and then slowly back up this causes no problem. Sometimes I have to put it in reverse and quickly have to get moving. This will cause a **** of a nasty sound.

Gas or diesel? Very different systems. Might help to just put the info in a signature? Thanks

Our gasser developed a rattle when we put it in reverse. When we outran that tornado, we hit some debris that bent a heat shield.

My gasser did the same thing once when I was parked on a small hill. I thought the engine was going to fall out til I put in in drive and got off the incline. I'll never park there again.

clunk noise

when i put mine on reverse in any small incline .... boom or bang ... caused by the torque control arm of the transmission ... normal operation .... i check on 3 other van and they all make the same noise

i noticed the same thing when backing up my trailer with gas promaster on a incline. it felt more like a hop and it didnt feel right. if you floor it a bit more its less pronounced.
