I had the oil changed and I can't reset the oil change message.
OK, I may be dumb but I've RTFM and (the diesel supplement) it says this:
refer to the steps described under “Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC)/Oil Change Required” in “Understanding Your Instrument Panel”
I can't find anything like that in the EVIC section. I've also read in the paper manual and on line about pressing the throttle pedal 3 times with the key on. I've tried that quite a few times at different cadences and no success with that either.
2014 diesel.
Any suggestions?

It's not really that difficult -

* Resetting oil change light
* "Your vehicle is equipped with an engine oil change
indicator system. The “Change Engine Oil” message will
display in the EVIC display. The engine oil change
indicator system is duty cycle based, which means the
engine oil change interval may fluctuate, dependent
upon your personal driving style.
Unless reset, this message will continue to display each
time you turn the ignition switch to the ON/RUN
position. To turn off the message temporarily, press and
release the MODE button. To reset the oil change indicator
system (after performing the scheduled maintenance),
refer to the following procedure.
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (do not
start the engine).
2. Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly, three times
within 10 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF/LOCK position.
NOTE: If the indicator message illuminates when you
start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not
reset. If necessary, repeat this procedure."

I have done this several times. The reset will give the new mileage that the oil change is due. For example it gives me 38,800 when I reset it at 20,223. I thought it would give me 18,500 and count down. It does not. Check to see if that is happening.
Here is the procedure I used and that is in the manual:

To reset the oil change indicator system (after performing the scheduled maintenance), refer to the following procedure.
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (do not start the engine).
2. Fully push the accelerator pedal slowly, three times, within 10 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF/LOCK position.
NOTE: If the indicator message illuminates when you start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not reset. If necessary, repeat this procedure.

Now for a few cautions:
Have the door closed
do the pedal push clear to the floor
10 seconds is a long time don’t rush
turn off the key soon after the third push
Best of luck it has worked for me.

I tried this about 15 times before I finally got it. I even had the wifey time me. What finally worked was a quick press and release with a delay between. What wasn't working was slow release or slow press.
