What are the specs on the battery used in the 2013 Ram Promaster?
I'm hoping we get a 900-1000 CCA battery with a higher output alternator.

Realistically what power range should we expect for the battery and alternator?

900-1000 CCA is an overkill, I don't see a reason for such high power in a battery for a vehicle that has minimal demands for what it is. At most we should need 700-750 cold cranking amps. and 650-700 cranking amps. It's a v6 with simple electronics.

if the promaster was like a sprinter with a v8, then we could use the extra power.

So your saying that each specific engine requires different cold cranking amps? Like a every v6 or v8 has to be a specific cca?

I just popped the cover to my battery to make some changes, and WOW!!! What kind of battery is THAT??? It's huge, but still maybe 800CCA. Could it be a deep cycle battery?

190 or 220 amp alternators I believe is what's offered from the factory. And seeing the picture of the battery in the owners manual, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a group 49 AGM high amperage unit, same as what's in a Sprinter.
Also, they might use the same battery in the gas & diesel versions.
