I have a 2021 Ram Promaster 1500.......35K Miles. Don't use the Parking Brake very often unless on a hill of some sort. I have noticed that almost ever time I disengage it there is noise coming from underneath somewhere as if it is not totally disengaged. I'm far from being Mr Goodwrench,but curious if this makes sense or is a known issue.

Got under the van today and found the Parking Brake mechanism rusted and not moving whatsoever. Hammer and WD40 solved it temporarily. 20 months old and rusted to **** already. Looks easy to replace at least.
Nice design leaving it 100% exposed to the elements!

Normal to be exposed. Not normal to rust up. Clearly not galvanized or.othewise coated. My 19 does it.
