That’s because you probably ordered the European "C" specification rather than the E rated one. If they came from the Amazon Nexen store I wouldn’t be to concerned.

Either one is ok for a Promaster - what’s your question/problem ? Are you afraid they are counterfeit tires? It’s doubtful, but contact Amazon if that’s the case or just return them. There is nothing special about that price anyhow.

My question is if this 225/75R/16C is the same as the LT 225/75R/16
Even if not 'exactly' the same tread (looks the same to me) they are M+S rated and the correct tires for your van. Since you already have them 'in stock' I'd have them mounted and enjoy driving around on them.

FYI don't use ply # for load index,
From Nexan
OEM tire 10 ply
Rectangle Font Screenshot Magenta Brand

and another 10 ply with a lower load index, the confusing part is someone posted their new van came with these specs
Font Brand Electric blue Auto part Rectangle

(warning, musing ahead) I read the Euro C tires have higher load index but at a lower speed, I wonder if the 115/112 tires would have a higher load index rating if you lower the speed rating.
