Hello Promaster folks, we hope to provide a solution for those of you looking to carry a full size spare tire outside of your van OR for those who need to carry even MORE gear than what your van will, all the while being able to still access the rear of the vehicle.

Our Hitchgate Solo will allow you to carry the full size spare and swing it away AND have 100% of your towing capability still.

Our Hitchswing allows you carry anything in a 2" hitch and swing it outta the way AND have 100% of your towing capability still.

Nice product. Now for the perfect spare carrier or bike carrier it would swing the other way so we have access to the right side door that is the priority opening door, and that door could open all 270º? Is there a reason all carriers swing away to the right?

I'm sure a long time ago someone made one that swung to the left. A driver pulled onto the right shoulder to get something out of the rear of his vehicle and a passing vehicle folded the wheel carrier all the way around. Law suit occurred, driver is not responsible for being an idiot, so lawyers determined right swinging would involve fewer lawsuits. Just a guess.
