Hi, I've just picked up my new 2017 Promaster. High roof standard length. I went almost no options to keep the price low, but it is still a nice drive.
I'm just trying to figure out now how much the towing capacity is. Debating whether or not I should keep my RAM 3500 for heavy duty stuff or if the Promaster can handle that stuff too.
No idea how much it weighs, but I tow my kubota 2300 around with a heavy dual axel car trailer and forget it's there. I also have a small, light (1200 lbs) antique car I tow with a dolly and I have to keep my backup camera on all the time or I absolutely forget I'm towing anything!
That pick up will far out tow the van but if your towing is in the 5 thousand lb. range the van should do fine. I think the towing cacacity is listed at 5100 lbs.
