Hello fellow members - I'm RV Maximus. I just got a ProMaster and looking to outfit it for boondocking and traveling in general.

Welcome to the forum. Check out the discussions about insulation first then go to the thread on Plans. Lots of good stuff. You are welcome to just copy what I did!

Hello and Welcome! Which size Promaster did you get?
Insulation and a vent/fan will be good places to start the upfit.
Thanks! I got the 2500 with 159" wheelbase - it's cavernous! I've looked at some fans and dreaming up my own "idea" since I've worked on designs of fan cooled systems for enclosures. Probably won't get anywhere, so I'm looking for a system that is as rainproof as possible.

Maxxair Deluxe is by far the most popular vent for vans. Because it can be open in rain.
There is also Fantastic, Ventline, Flettner, and some others.

Yes it is. I have one and never a problem. Make sure you get the remote with it. If you place it on the roof just behind the front seats there is an area that is flat (with no ribs) so you won't have to worry about sealing it or buying any kind of adapter either.
