Hubby and I are still about 10 years out from official (Social Security) retirement. Until then, we plan on spending many years as weekend warriors, and traveling to see family during vacations and holidays. When we do officially retire, we will probably spend half our time traveling around the country, and half our time at our home in California.

Right now, we are at the very beginning stage of acquiring a Promaster 2500, 159 WB, and will be putting in a special order in the next month or so. Hubby is putting together a spreadsheet of parts/cost estimation for the conversion.

We have learned so much from this forum, and appreciate the valuable information that has been posted by members. Thank you all for sharing your knowledge and experiences. We are only at the beginning stage of this adventure, but have learned a lot in a short period of time.

Welcome, once you have a plan post it and we will nitpick it to try to make it better. Before you make a list of the parts try to make a good list of what you plan to do with the van and what camping features it needs. That will help you to meet those needs and dictate what should be on the buy list.
