I have a new Thor Tellaro on a 2022 Promaster 3500 with push button start. Long story but purchased vehicle new and only received one Key Fob. I finally found one at a Mopar Parts distributer (Mopar Wholesale Parts) that came in a "Mopar" bag and looks identical in every way. They have been very hard to come by and most dealers have told me to expect a long delay (six months?) getting one. Once I found one, I took my vehicle to the local Dodge dealer for programming. Dealer told me it could not be programmed because the vehicle was missing one of the required 6 antennas that have to be in place before it can be programmed. Dealer stated that since this is a customized van (Thor Tellaro) that I would have to get Thor to pay for the missing harness.
I contacted Thor who "refused" the claim after sending them pictures and information and their reply was they do not "touch" the rear bumper of this vehicle where the missing antenna was located. The harness cost was $129 so I told the Dodge dealer just to order the harness and I would pay for it just to avoid the "hassle".
Harness came in and took vehicle back to Dodge dealer for the third time. The second time vehicle was taken there was because I received a call from the service adviser at the Dodge dealer who stated Thor contacted them and wanted pictures of the missing part.
The Dodge dealer installed the harness ($550 including the labor) and the dealer says key fob can still not be programmed. Dealer says they don't know what the problem is but they have contacted Dodge for technical assistance. It seems my vehicle is one of many 2022 vans who have had this problem and they may have to replace the PCM and other parts than I am not familiar with. Problem with that is one of the technicians told me that some of these replacement parts may not be available for some time.
Still waiting on a resolution and just want to get a second key fob that works. I have already paid $550 for a van that is under warranty and still no resolution. Any ideas appreciated?
