They are expensive, but they are load rated, and swivel for the load.

You can get D-rings for much much less, are stamped construction, but they have less of a load limit, usually half the strength for a given thread size:

For what its worth, I would not trust much load to the single nut welded to the thin sheet metal under the van with more than the current D-rings are rated (about 500lbs).
