I used BuiltitSolar's design with a few minor tweaks.
Lowest layer were strips of flexible styrofoam instead of plywood to level out the floor. Easier for me because my table saw has tried to eat my fingers before.
Next lowest layer was some leftover vinyl flooring so that it wouldn't squeak
Next layer was 1 inch styrofoam because that was what was available.
Then a layer of the thinnest plywood.
And topped off with some vinyl flooring from Lowe's that my dog matches very nicely. Got about 4 x as much as I needed for $25. Bargained with them for a returned piece.
I am happy with this. It seems very solid.
