If You Have Purchased Or Ordered A 2023 Promaster

I am planning to order a 2023 Promaster in the coming weeks - 1500 high roof in my case.

KBB is indicating that I should pay something like 10 percent off of MSRP for the vehicle right now, and I understand that prices may be declining week-by-week at this point.

If you have purchased or ordered a 2023 Promaster in the last few weeks, I would appreciate information on the final price.

Either a percentage off MSRP or relative to Invoice Price would be helpful to me, and I assume to others as well.

Thanks

February 16th- scheduled
When scheduled, dealer is given build date.

What is dealer saying build date is? Add 5-6 weeks to build date for delivery.
I talked to my dealer this morning. My price is locked to the document I first signed. My van has been at the port of Brunswick since early Feb. The window for delivery by truck, from the port, runs into early March. So it looks like it takes up to 4 weeks to dispatch a full ship load of vans via truck.

The port of Brunswick. That is a lot of vehicles to get picked up and transported. Most are white, so must be Promasters in the shot.

The port houses a lot of cars, if you scroll around you can see a bunch of different ones. Sat photos are also not always up to date.
My delivery date just went from Feb 24, to Mar 6.
My van arrived today Feb 23rd.

Can I ask when you ordered ? (Mine was 10 Oct. ish) Called the dealer last week & spoke to the fleet manager, they were expecting a nationwide conference call at the beginning of this week. And So he’s supposed to update me presently but I’ll probably have to initiate a call tomorrow .
I ordered mine in September and it’s only at scheduled on the factory page…
Bigphotog, you are not alone! I ordered August 13, got order confirmed December 13 and here I am waiting! Maybe I'll have it ready to go in 2024?:p

Ordered 7/7
Confirmed 1/13
Scheduled 2/16
Spoke to dealer, build is scheduled for mid May.
I think swivel seats delayed my build.

Got swivels in mine and mine got delivered early Feb, but my order was placed in June
Do you all think it's time to maybe start looking on the lots for a van? Or stay the course and can't waiting.

You can monitor and keep an eye but it depends on needs. It’s plausible yours is built in the next 2 months but alot of it comes down to options. Stuff like the ACC and 360 cameras will hold them up.
I was advised to steer clear of both of those. It would be nice to know what is causing the hang up. Who knows:unsure:

even thing like windows can slow down because it’s more “work” over bare shells.

That’s what we did, we ordered exactly what we wanted and then kept a look out for a better deal on a van sitting on a dealer lot. It all depends on how much free time you have to mess with it and how bad you want a van!

I’m glad we went with a lower spec window van on a lot now that I have experienced the 2022+ electronics. The driver assistance, swivels, and passive entry mean our order will be at the back of the line if it even gets built as a ‘23. It was almost $10k worth of options that I don’t think would have added much value. I really wanted those options but since they don’t really work it’s just wasted money and time (other than the seats).

I've created a spreadsheet to track the progress. Anyone welcome to add their as you wish. You don't need any accounts, anyone with a link can edit it. Please be neat, brief and try not to mess with other peoples entries. Add columns as you feel appropriate.

I feel it might become beneficial to understand the timeframe.
I spent about a month using the Ram website, shop online nationwide search feature and then calling each dealership to get exact stock. The van I wanted (2500, 159", Granite, 10" display, LED headlights) was available at 6 dealers. Three were marked up $5-10K. The dealer I ended up buying it from had it marked up 3K, but we settled on $500 over MSRP. If I was willing to go with the smaller display and halogen headlights, but still in grey, it was available at 21 dealers. Most dealers I spoke with were willing to sell below MSRP for less equipped models. I was getting offers of $1000-$3000 under MSRP in the midwest.
Thanks for the info, thinking I might go this route!

The situation is the same here on the East coast. The dealers I contacted that were sticking to MSRP or higher are now all calling 3 months later and offering $2-4k under MSRP on the same vans. Some dealers didn’t read the memo and order the free but optional passenger seat, those vans are heavily discounted along with the ones that are missing cruise control.
