Just introducing myself:

We are retired and hike a lot all over the world. I am also a woodworker.

We prefer tent camping and backpacking, but weather becomes more of an issue as we get older, thus we foresee the need for a van. I should get it before we need it so I can fit it out. I have salivated over the European vans and am delighted that the Ducato has made the trip across the water as the Promaster.

I envision fitting out the high-top 136” very simply, but with quality materials. Given that we are quite comfortable living for weeks at a time in a tent, our creature comfort needs are modest.

Welcome! and good luck.

I am very happy with my Ducato/PM. The roads are very rugged where I live in Arkansas and the front wheel drive has proven itself on snowy days last winter when only 4wd vehicles were out.

Is there more to this sign-up procedure I don't know about? I want to ask about choosing between 1500, 2500, 3500 and it says I don't have permission to do that yet?
