Anyone else here notice that your hatches really operate better once you've cleaned them and put in a spray of silicone lube?
I clean out the track on my side hatch with old T shirts. Then spray lube the upper and lower rollers and it really makes it glide well.
Same with the crazy rear hinges. They collect dirt. I wipe them off and then a little silicone lube. They seem less stressed after that.
Little things like that can count a lot IME as a mechanic.
I even keep a fox tail brush under the drivers seat to keep the cab floor swept clean. Being retired Navy enlisted man, I say commence field day!
Neat machinery is usually happy machinery.
