I'm in the market for a new van, as my current one is a '97 Ford E-350 with 234K miles. I'm a cabinet maker/millworker, so I carry volume more than weight for work. However, I also race Thistle sailboats, and travel the country doing so, pulling various trailers up to my largest, a custom triple decker in stainless steel that is only #2700 .
I've researched the Sprinter and Transit, and there are a bunch of things I don't like about them. In mid November I ordered a Promaster Window Van, with the diesel and various options, in red, as I am tired of white (and I'm a firefighter; hard to resist flame red). I very much like the thinking and engineering that went into the PM, especially the FWD, the low cargo deck, wide interior, and appropriate interior height of 6'-4".
I look forward to contributing.
