I've been driving my 2019 1500 with no issues for a month, but got on the highway today, after 3 blocks of normal performance, and it wouldn't shift up from (I'm guessing) 3rd gear. 50mph at 5000rpm despite letting off and getting back on the pedal. I shut it off, restarted, and it was fine, but I'm converting this 136 Hightop for my wife and I to live in and we're about to hit the road. I'm assuming it's a sensor, as Bertha has only 9,000 miles on her, and will go to a mechanic for a diagnostic, but wondered if this is likely a one-off or should I worry even more about why someone sold this beauty with so few miles on it.
Any advice is appreciated.

What you were experiencing as limp home mode, which the van will go into for various reasons. You were actually locked into 2nd gear.
Many possible causes, but the computer will have stored a code and freeze frame data, telling a mechanic what it thinks happened. Light is only required for engine codes that relate to emissions, so it may not light for trans, traction control, abs, other systems. Get it read and go from there.

Hi @Nick P - I apologize for the trouble! If you work with your Ram dealer for this and you would be interested in an additional layer of support, please do not hesitate to follow up with us via private message. I would be more than happy to escalate a case on your behalf to a specialist for further support through that process.

Thanks, but my local dealer ran a diagnostic history and it revealed no issues, so it was merely a "computer glitch." (Which I suppose is the price we pay for driving/living in "a computer on wheels" as the service guy called it.)
