Overhead Shelve Removal
It's pretty easy to remove.
Some 10 mil bolts and some philips screws.
Remove overhead light, slides out to the side, some fasteners under there.
Remove visors, easy.
Now the tough part, remove the headliner.
Remove the push in fasteners, make sure everything is warm!
No easy way, just be careful as not to fold or crease the liner.
Getting around the seatbelt cover on the b pillars is tough, you can loosen them.
Be careful there are air bags in the columns, I did not disconnect the battery and was very careful.
Once this is down, you can see all the lights and the satellite antenna.
I had a leak in the middle clearance light.
This was after the dealer had checked for leaks, there were none prior to his inspection, thanks dealer.
It appears he over tightened the screws and cracked the retainer!
I removed all the lights and cleaned all the surfaces.
I reapplied the gaskets and secured them with a little silicone, making sure the holes for the screws had a dab of silicone.
When I placed the lights in position, the holes where the screws to fasten them in, I again, put a dab of silicone on the screws and refastened.
Do not over tighten!
Just snug them up, let the silicone do the rest.
Good luck.
