My bed and custom woodwork plan involved installing some cabinetry up to the edge of the black plastic panel guards that line the triangular spaces in the rear corners of the van.

Does anyone report needing to gain access to the insides of these panels in anything other than really unusual circumstances?

Will need to remove the panels to change rear light bulbs, I had partially blocked mine and had to find a very short screwdriver in order to remove the panel.

Depending on your layout, remove the panels and build your furniture up to the rear doors. Make sure you can acces the finger bolts to service the lights (remove a drawer, open cabinet).

I'm working on my ceiling right now and am leaving access to the front and rear lights. If I didn't have to do that I would have flown through this ceiling. The access panels are taking as long as doing the whole ceiling. Little things eat up time.
