We have found a few exceptional places to eat as we cross North America. Some are humble and tiny, others expansive and proud. All offer great food, local specialities or some regional BLISS. I will list a few and ask you to add any that you would like us to visit. You all have a great one nearby don’t you? Please give an address the GPS or phone mapping can follow, what sort of place they are, relative value or cost. Additional features or some "have to have” item when there would be great. Here are a few that come to mind:

Pap’s Place, 125 E Main St, Ackerman, MS 39735. Buffett. Lunch and dinner. Closed Wednesday, Southern food with the locals. Wonderful welcoming and interesting decorations. Prices reasonable. Eat the catfish! "We're not here to rob you honey; we're just here to fill yo' belly!" https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g29617-d626870-Reviews-Pap_s_Place-Ackerman_Mississippi.html

Sophia’s 530 W Pima St, Gila Bend, AZ 85337 Want to eat “real Mexican?” Don’t want to go to Mexico to get it? This is the place. Get a Burrito-Enchilada style, and plan to split it as you don’t want to die of food happiness just yet. Inexpensive. Open all day, all week. They won’t bring you the bill just go to the counter when you are done. https://www.yelp.com/biz/sofias-mexican-food-gila-bend

Wayside Restaurant 1873 US Route 302, Montpelier, Vermont 05602. Yankee comfort food, Salt pork gravy for breakfast, Doughnuts your grammy made, Cackleberrys $1.25 Find some change from the couch and that will cover it. https://www.waysiderestaurant.com

Newicks Lobster House. 431 DOVER PT. RD. DOVER, NH. Not the only great lobster place but one of the oldest and good, since 1948. Have a lobster of course! Duh. Plan to empty your cash reserve as all lobster dinners are spendy but what the hey! They are a small chain now but this is the one to go to. http://www.newicks.com

There you have it for now. Please ad to this!

Borgata Casino Buffet in Atlantic City NJ... the only good buffet in AC! ...various international dishes plus lots of meats, fish, etc.... great desserts! And they have a parking lot for overnight van/RV parking if you're staying overnight at the Borgata. Local ordinances prohibit sleeping in the parking lot no matter what you're driving! about $32 a person... we eat there whenever we're in the area! No need for a GPS, just head to AC an there will be plenty of signs to get you there.

In general, when we're traveling we often look for a local casino for a good (not fantastic but good, and affordable buffet with lots of choices) Some we have visited:

Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls, NY
SugarHouse Casino buffet in Philadelphia, PA

We took a trip along the No. California coast a few months ago and found a couple of good spots:

Surf Market, Hwy. 1, Gualala, CA. They have a deli counter with sandwiches, salads, etc. The Wha-La-La sandwich was fantastic. https://surfsuper.com/

Avenue Cafe, Miranda, CA. Just south of Humboldt-Redwoods SP. Great burgers, and a nice outdoor patio. http://www.avenuecafe.biz/

I haven't been there in a few years, but Duarte's Tavern in Pescadero, CA is well worth a stop (or even a side-trip). Have the cream of green chile soup. http://duartestavern.com/

If you're passing through SE Idaho, try Thai Paradise or The Yellowstone, both on Main Street in downtown Pocatello -

In my limited travels I'd recommend these decent and fair priced locations . . . .
Gold Beach , Oregon . . Sunset Family Pizza . Nice pizza and I don't really care for pizza.
Sparks , Nevada . . Cantina Los Tres Hombres . Great gringo mexicano . Been good for 20+ years.
Flagstaff , Arizona . . Bun Huggers hamburgers . Put all the fixins you want on at the "island". Again 30+years .
Roswell , New Mexico . . Martin's capitol Cafe . Good mex , homemade .
Texas . BBQ . When in doubt , Rudy's Country Store and Bar-B-Q (and fuel) . I've stopped at a few Rudy's and they all been good (even for a chain).

Del's Restaurant 1202 E Rte 66 Blvd, Tucumcari, NM 88401

We were moving from PA to NV earlier this year and I blew out a tire. We swapped the spare and drove to town to get the tire swapped out and got lunch here by random luck. Their sopapillas & honey for dessert were incredible!

Several years ago here, someone recommended the Germantown Commissary in Memphis. On my recent trip, I stopped there and had some of the best BBQ I’ve ever eaten.
Yes, MS KOV & I stopped there for lunch in January for the second time and it was excellent! Highly recommended (don’t ever believe what you read on yelp). Don’t miss desert either. ;)

For great food and a really good time, try Lambert's Café (throwed rolls) in Sikeston Mo. Another is Exit 87 BBQ on I40 near Jackson Tennessee. Killer, cheap BBQ! El Guero Canelo in Tucson, AZ, home of the "Sammy" dog. Dysarts travel plaza in Bangor Maine, everything is reasonable and good! And I know that it is "fast food", but I have never been to a bad Culvers!
