I've been considering performing my own oil change, which led me to trying to find a filter locally. Turns out that locally I could only find $40+ filters including the WIX WL10058. Online, I was able to find cross references to the Mann w9009 at https://www.dieselfiltersonline.com/3_0l_diesel_promaster_oil_filters/. I saw in another thread that others were successfully using this filter as an alternative to the OEM Mopar.

In my attempt to save a buck, I cross references filters on many manufacturers sites, ending up at the Mann and WIX sites. Both brands are owned by Mann+Hummel. I also compared the WIX US and WIX Europe filter cross references with interesting results. See image.

Can I safely conclude that the WIX WL7445 is compatible with the diesel Promaster?

I hope so because the WL7445 or NAPA Gold SL7445 may be available locally for less than $7.

I found the following good choices: Mopar 68095335AA, Baldwin B7388, Wix WL10058, NAPA FIL 100058, Mann W9009, and the Mann filter is available from http://www.diesel-filters.com/produ...l-filter-promaster-diesel-oem-68095335aa.html for $7.25 and buying a few gets the shipping down to a reasonable level. Please tell me if this isn't a great filter and correct and reasonably priced?
Mann is generally a great filter and since these are reasonable why not?

Thanks RDinNHandAZ. It was actually your post here that alerted me to the Mann W9009 which cross referenced to the WL7445. The fact that the Iveco 2995655 is cross referenced by WIX to both the WL10058 and WL7445 seems to confirm the match. This is the manufacturer and not a third party listing the cross reference; it seems like the manufacturer might have an agreement with RAM to sell essentially the same filter under a different name to keep the price high in the US.

The Mann W9009 that you list is my fallback, but I can't get it locally and of course have to buy multiple filters to get the price closer to the WL7445.
