I've been considering performing my own oil change, which led me to trying to find a filter locally. Turns out that locally I could only find $40+ filters including the WIX WL10058. Online, I was able to find cross references to the Mann w9009 at https://www.dieselfiltersonline.com/3_0l_diesel_promaster_oil_filters/. I saw in another thread that others were successfully using this filter as an alternative to the OEM Mopar.
In my attempt to save a buck, I cross references filters on many manufacturers sites, ending up at the Mann and WIX sites. Both brands are owned by Mann+Hummel. I also compared the WIX US and WIX Europe filter cross references with interesting results. See image.
Can I safely conclude that the WIX WL7445 is compatible with the diesel Promaster?
I hope so because the WL7445 or NAPA Gold SL7445 may be available locally for less than $7.
