Two layers now installed in the ceiling.
The pink whatever it is called from Promaster Accessories
and a layer of Hein Thinsulate. But we have room for more.
The she-boss is averse to foam board. She says it squeaks. I say we're
building a rattle-box anyway so what is a squeak here and there.
Resolution came with the suggestion of another layer of Thinsulate!
So now I have to learn basic carpentry and extend the wood frames under
the fan and the air conditioner AND add the same thickness furring strips
across the ribs.
I could have been satisfied with one layer of Thinsulate but since we bought plenty
why not double up.
Anyone see any problem with two layers of Thinsulate as long as we don't compress it ?
