I have used many times on my other cars a Motive pressure bleeder. I recently added their cap #1113 to my collection to fit my PM but have not needed to use it yet.

Bleeder w/1113 cap = https://www.amazon.com/Motive-Products-0113-Power-Bleeder/dp/B0119DBOJC

1113 Cap only = https://www.amazon.com/Motive-Products-1113-Adapter/dp/B00YS8KH9Y

Bought it! Thanks for the help. 🤘🏽
+1 on the pressure method of bleeding. For years I used a vaccum pump (actually an aspirator pump from a medical surplus auction). The vacuum method (from bleeder nipples) works OK, but must be performed slowly to avoid introducing bubbles.
But what about when Kip says something about needing to cycle the ABS pump with scanner to bleed properly?

I've used Motive bleeders before and the old school get your wife to pump the brakes while you bleed, all my vehicles had modern ABS so I don't see the need for a scan tool but again, @Kip-on-truckin if your not by the poolside sunning your hide, please advise us chumps.

Id like to bleed the van soon,, not that you'd need to.

Below is what the factory service manual says on the matter.

Note that this procedure calls out DOT 3 fluid, my owner's manual calls out DOT 4 fluid. They talking about bleeding at the wheel calipers (base bleeding) then bleeding the ABS unit (called the ICU Integrated Control Unit) then bleeding at the wheel calipers again. According to these instructions, the instructions for bleeding the ICU are embedded in the scan tool... thank you Mopar!

I'm going to 'change' my brake fluid in the near future by doing it via the manual bleed method... and skip the ICU bleed, figuring I don't have air in the system now and I should not introduce air by bleeding at the wheel calipers... I figure that this is better than nothing. I don't have a handle how much fluid the ICU intermingles with fluid that is used during normal braking.... when would the fluid mingle? When ABS is used and when the hill holder is used? ...
Maybe someone can set me straight on this.

I'm not sure a third party scan tool would have the ICU bleed procedure, maybe KIP can comment.

I'm not sure an independent shop would bleed the ICU if asked to do a brake fluid change.

By the way, the Mopar service CD ROM I bought when I got my van wasn't worth it. The procedures that the CD ROM outlines are not always accurate.

The base bleeding section goes on to explain how to use a pressure bleeder and how to bleed by exercising the brake pedal with a helper opening and closing bleeder valves.... nothing special there.

Used to be only higher end scan tools would perform the ABS bleed procedure but you can probably find one now for $120 or so that will do it.
I'd be willing to spring for a ~$150 scanner that can do the job, is there anyway to tell if the scanner is capable of ABS bleed for a particular vehicle prior to purchase? or can someone confirm that a certain budget scanner does the job?

Thanks

EDIT: Actually, what would be better yet would be a cell phone app.. I have an ELM knockoff ODBII WiFi interface.... I suppose I should do some research.
Sorry, missed this shoutout.

My method has been to bleed the brakes like normal with a helper, then find some gravel or ice and lock the brakes up enough to activate the ABS pump. Then it bleeds itself.

I have used this same method in the past to bleed the abs. Works fine. Scares the crap out of your passengers when you do this without warning. Great fun.

Maintenance and drift practice all in one procedure.
