I purchased a 2015, 1500 knowing the front end was bouncy and a strut might need replacement. My mechanic went to replace the struts and noticed that both struts were blown and leaking fluid. One strut mount was also broken as well as one rear shock was wet from fluid. My vehicle warranty was past the 36 month period. The OE shocks carry their own warranty, BUT is NOT transferable to a second owner. Should I just eat the repair cost or contact Ram trucks for Chrysler ? Thanks

It wouldn’t hurt but those are probably considered "wear" items like brake pads, tires, etc. I just got a reimbursement check back from FCA for almost $400 on the overhaul of my transmission after it was 8k miles out of warranty. It never hurts to try.
