Thought there was hope for fixing brake squeal - we followed the helpful forum post with Service Bulletin # for this problem - went to Lithia Dodge/Ram in Missoula, MT - svc rep first denied having any info - then I presented the Service Bulletin info and he found it - said they would order and call us in 2-3 days. After 1 wk we called - they could not find any info on it but promised to order it and call in a few days. After another week, we called - they said parts were in but couldn't schedule for at least 3 wks. Having been off on business, we just called again to schedule but now they claim they have no record of this (guess they don't list to their "calls recorded for quality..."

This is BS by Lithia Motors and by FCA for having such a poor svc dept representing them. Does anyone know of a place where we can get this fixed by a quality staff ? MB Sprinter dealers might charge a lot (though nothing for warranty work) but they are friendly and quick to repair things.

Hi,
I'll just mention this because you are in MT.

I'm in Bozeman and have been taking my PM to JC Billion, and have been pretty satisfied with their performance.

Mine is a 1500, and I went into them with the SB number on the squeaky brakes that was posted here. It turns out that this SB does not apply to the 1500 (no idea why). But, they agreed to replace the brake pads and ordered the parts. Just got the word they were in (they called me) and will set up an appointment when we get back in town.

But, Boz is a long way to drive for service.

What is the TSB number for the squealing brakes...
Ive followed the squealing brakes thread(s) and heard of 1 mentioned, but never identified.
Lots of reports of a TSB, but never a TSB number..
One guy even said that "the fix" was in with Ram, but when asked for the TSB, or re-call number, he didnt give it..
So , could you guys please list the TSB for the squealing brakes??
Thanks so much,
PS, I apologize if it was mentioned elsewhere and I didnt catcch it.
Please list it again for all of us who dont know it, and we can put it in the TSB-Recall thread.
Thanks again

These Chrysler dealers really are pitiful. Called Bullion - "all booked up - earliest 2 wks" - all for a 1 hr repair. Expect us to beckon at their timeframe. Maybe for retirees this works, not for someone on the go. Maybe Chrysler vehicles are so poor they are flooding the dealer shops. What if it was something serious ?? Buyer remorse really settling in.

Same here, I had to wait 2 weeks to get a CEL analyzed and taken care of.
